Had EVERYTHING I needed from Thai, Vietnamese to Chinese ingredients and spices. One stop shop! Plus they had a Hong Kong dim sum and duck cafe inside store. It was FAB! Worth trying

Vietnamese supermarkets are fast becoming my go-to stop for Asian goodies. As H-mart prices continue to rise, Vinh Hung and Seafood city continue to offer excellent prices for the same/similar goods. This location is somewhat labyrinthine but that makes it all the more fun. This spot is clean, with a large selection of fresh and pantry goods. Meat is much cheaper here than it is at other supermarkets. My only gripe is that, while they accept CalFresh, they do not waive the bag fee. So come prepared with either some coins or a reusable bag to carry your low-priced groceries home!

Vinh Hung Supermarket on Camino Ruiz is like stepping into a hidden food paradise. From fresh fish to all kinds of meats, it's where I go when I need to stock up on ingredients for my next Asian cooking adventure. The shelves are lined with things I can't pronounce but totally want to try. It's always a bit of a hunt, but that's the fun part finding something new and figuring out what it actually is.

They upgraded the interior of this supermarket! It looks amazing and I got a little excited because it looks much better than before, much more cleaner and not as rugged looking as well. The produce section is a lot more well stocked and doesn't have rotten produce in sight, and the fish section isn't as smelly! My favorite place to get cheap groceries, and honestly the only place where I can find balut eggs in abundance.

I came primarily to eat lunch at Ngon Ngon to go in their food court, lol! This location appeared to have the cleanest meat and seafood sections I have yet to see and smell in San Diego. Impressive- you could see straight into the prep areas and everything was sparkling! So many tantalizing products I didn't recognize and don't regularly use. This time, I only bought 2 tangerines and some bread rolls. The tangerines looked amazing but were really tough inside and had many seeds. The flavor was good, but I wouldn't buy these again. The bread was also good but not enough to go drive out of my way to buy it here. Cashier and staff were very fast and helpful. I will definitely be back next time I have lunch at Ngon Ngon To Go!

If you live in Mira Mesa and aren't shopping at Vinh Hung, you're doing it all wrong. Vinh Hung's produce and meat selection prices are unbeatable in Mira Mesa - prove me wrong! Ground beef for $2.50 a pound? Chicken breast for about $4 a pound? Chicken thighs for around $3.50 a pound? Even Aldi cannot compete with these prices. They also have an endless amount of soup stock mixes, sauces, and spices that are difficult to find at other grocery stores. I also find that these prices best H-Mart and Seafood City further down in Mira Mesa Blvd. Random but the coconut water beats Costco's prices and flavor for coconut water by a long shot. The hidden gem of Vinh Hung is the cafe which sells delicious Vietnamese food and best of all.... Hanoi-egg coffee! No need to drive down to Saigon Coffee (for the best) Hanoi-egg coffee if you live in Mira Mesa. 5/5!

Vinh Hung Supermarket is my favorite Vietnamese/Asian market in all of Mira Mesa. I have been coming here for years to buy staple ingredients for Vietnamese cuisine and my favorite snacks and drinks I had growing up as a kid. Nowadays I actually love to buy most of meats here. A pound of ground beef is $2.50. You can't beat it. The only meat I recommend not buying is their thin sliced meats (it's inside a little freezer by the butcher). I bought it once as I needed sliced meat for hot pot quick but it didn't taste very good. I would just stick to H-mart if you want to get hot pot meat and meat for KBBQ. They always do some sales on certain items which you'll find stacked in the front of the store. Cashiers are really quick at ringing people up and nice.

From the outside it doesn't look like much but once you go in it's a whole new world. It's jammed pack with goodies. Congested but it's like a jungle of treasures. Hubby and I went here for a great deal on their coconut juice. 3 for $5 on the 1/2 pint size. Score! What I was searching for though was exotic tropical fruits. I went to 4 different supermarkets looking for macapuno coconut and none has them except this place. It's not your ordinary coconut and hard to find. I found many other delicious fresh produce such as Thai bananas, cherimoya, milk fruit, jackfruits among others. They also have fresh fish and live crabs and fresh oysters. Many homemade Vietnamese dessert such as 3 beans in coconut milk, mochi, pandan in syrup etc... Too many to name you'll just have to go see for yourself
